Our mission was to completely transform the exterior vibe of the famous 2 Mile Surf Shop in Bolinas, Ca. Using the brand Pantone Colors we painted the exterior and added a series of murals to add life to the shop. The murals were painted on the east and west sides of the shop. The exterior mural for 2 Mile Surf Shop are on the wild side featuring a series of highly unique characters, surfing the waves of Bolinas. A Jackalope, Crocodile, and fish creature catch waves while a VW Bus, 2 Mile Surf Shop sign and flowers await onshore. A pigeon creature "hangs ten" while the wave breaks to the right. The west-facing mural paintings also feature unique sets of creatures helping to capture the eccentric vibe of the surf shop. What was once a baron building has now been transformed into a vibrant piece of artwork that helps bring attention and business to the Shop. To keep the murals safe we applied a UV/ weather resistant clear coat to prevent the salty ocean air from tarnishing these murals. A variant of sign paintings was also created for the shop.
